Personal Records

The Scout Group and Scout Association hold key information about every member of the group and their families. This information is vital to allow leaders to:

  • understand and deal with individual needs and circumstances of every individual member whether medical, social, religious or ethnical in nature

  • respond to urgent and emergency situations with the requisite knowledge immediately available

  • provide accurate and timely communication to all members and their families

All this information is held in strictest confidence and access is only given to individuals within the Scout Group who need it as part of their role.

The information is collected through completion of the Young Person Information Form and the Supplemental Information Form by parents; the current versions are attached below. Both of these forms are issued to all new group members as part of the Joining Pack.
