Promise and Law

At your investiture as a Cub you will make the Cub Scout Promise in front of the rest of the Pack - including to abide by our law. The Promise can be difficult to keep, but as a Cub Scout you should do your best to keep it.

The Promise and Law are below for your reference: make sure you know them!

Promises are reaffirmed annually on St. George's Day, the saint's day of our Patron Saint.

Alternative wording for the promise is also possible for those who wish to use it; please speak to the leaders to discuss this if required.

Cub Scout Promise

I promise that I will do my best
To do my duty to God and to the Queen,
To help other people
And to keep the Cub Scout Law

Cub Scout Law

Cub Scouts always do their best
Think of others before themselves
And do a good turn every day.

Cub Scout Motto
